The Waldorf

I call this, “The Waldorf.” Pisco brandy, Nocino walnut liqueur, green apple liqueur, muddled celery and granny smith, lemon juice, Greek yogurt. A throwback to the Waldorf salad consisting of apples, grapes, celery, walnuts, (and unfortunate amounts of mayo), this cocktail is crisp and nutty with a tart, creamy finish.

2 oz pisco brandy (E.g. Capel)

3/4 oz walnut liqueur (Nocino della Cristina)

3/4 oz green apple liqueur (G.E. Massenez liqueur de pomme verte)

1/2 oz lemon juice

Bar spoon Greek yogurt (whole milk)

Green apple fan & walnut garnish

In a shaker tin, muddle a few thin slices of granny smith apple and celery with a splash of Nocino. Add the rest of the ingredients to the tin and shake vigorously with ice for 30 seconds. Double-strain into a snifter over fresh ice and garnish with the apple fan and a walnut.
